I would advise anyone that's looking for a real program and help with recovery America habitar is the place to get help for those that don't agree then your not looking for help .

Helped me more then the Leonard clinic at least now I'm clean and has a good councilor. And they treat like a human not a junkie like other clinics. I believe that they save my life.

Like any place the worst part is intake. Get there early and make sure you have all your paperwork. These are very nice people who give you open opportunity to follow the rules without being strict. Once you cant seem to follow the rules you can expect the "leash" to get a bit shorter... I am thankful that since I joined I never had to get anything off the streets

There are a few really great counselors I won't deny that! But there client ediquite is poor...they need some improvements but I've been here 4 years out all depends on you...you get out exactly what you put into it just like anything else in life....

This place actually works. I have been clean for almost over a year now and I owe it all to the people working there. They have helped be get my life back on track. Thank You Guys. Its does get busy at times however they always accommodate all the Clients. All of the negative reviews are from people who do not pay there bills or do not do what they are suppose to being a person in recovery. I have seen those clients that write the bad reviews. They were the ones selling drugs and got caught. The others are the ones who do not want to pay their bills, that they know they have to. Thankful for this clinic, you guys are the best!!!!!!!

This Place is Amazing. It helped my brother and his wife get their lives back together. If anyone you care about needs help, send them there. My brother and his wife tried a place in Irvington called Sunrise and had no improvement. Thank You American Habitare for bring my brother and sister in-law back again. You guys helped make our family whole again. I highly recommend this place.

TERRIBLE! THE ONLY THING THEY CARE IS MONEY AND PUSH CERTAIN THINGS BECAUSE THEY GET EXTRA MONEY FROM MEDICAID LIKE GROUPS. PHYC SERVICES WERE FOR EVERYBODY NOW IF YOU NOT IN MEDICAID YOU CAN'T PARTICIPATE THEY REGULAR PAYING PEOPLE HAVE TO PAY FOR WHAT SUPPOSED TO BE MENTAL HEALTH SERVICES WITH WHAT MOST THINK IS A DR BUT IS REALLY A PRACTICIONER MENTAL HEALTH NURSE AND THEY CHARGING THE PEOPLE WHO ARE NOT IN MEDICAID IF THEY ASK FOR THE SERVICE $150 A VISIT. THEY VERY RUDE AND FULL OF EXCUSE AND NOT REALLY HANDICAP/DISABLE FRIENDLY THEY HAVE LINE SOMETIMES DAYS ON A ROLL AND YOU CAN SEE THE PEOPLE IN WHEELCHAIRS, CANES, WALKERS FOR HOURS STANDING IN LINE EVEN IN THE RAIN WHILE THEY PLAY 5 AT THE TIME. THEY KEEP ACCEPTING PEOPLE WHEN THEY ARE FULL AND DO NOT HAVE THE FACILITY TO ACCOMODATE MORE CLIENTS. THE PLACE IS SMALL THEY NEED TO EXPAND AND TAKE CUSTOMER SERVICE TRAINING STARTING FROM THE MANAGEMENT TO THE NURSES. THEY DO HAVE A FEW ADVANTAGES: MORE CLEANER PLACE AND BETTER MANTAINED THAT OTHER CLINICS, THEY DO NOT TOLERATE THE USUAL BS BETWEEN CLIENTS INSIDE THE FACILITY, THE GROUPS ARE GOOD AND THEY DO HAVE FEW GOOD COUNCELORS PLUS THEY DO NOT OPEN ON SUNDAYS, CHRISTMAS, NEW YEAR AND THEY DO RECOGNISE SOME PEOPLE MIGHT NOT BE ABLE TO COME IN BAD WEATHER, MAJOR STORMS LIKE SANDY, SNOW STORMS, AFTER SANDY WITH THE POWER OUT THEY WERE GREAT AND CARE I GUESS BECAUSE THE OWNERS DO LIVE OUT OF STATE FROM WHAT I KNOW AND PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION DROPS YOU ALMOST IN FRONT.
